Built as Coteaudoc at Whiteinch, Great Britain in 1929, she carried grain, salt, ore, and pulpwood. She was renamed the Milverton when she was acquired by the Colonial Steamship Line. On September 24, 1947, she collided with the tanker Translake near Iroquois. The boat caught fire and grounded near Morrisburg, where she broke in two and sank claiming 12 lives. In 1949, the Milverton was raised and towed to Port Weller where she was refitted and renamed Clary Foran. She retired from service in 1962 under the name Ferndale.
