boat0045In 1910, the Rapids Prince was constructed by the Richelieu and Ontario Navigation Co. for running the Lachine Rapids, one of Canada’s top tourist attractions.

The Rapids Prince was the last passenger steamer to run the Long Sault Rapids on September 19, 1949.

The vessel had at various times been under the command of Captain Joseph E. Oulette and Captain James P. Stephenson (pictured).
