boat0025The Mapleheath was built in 1911 as the Toiler in Newcastle, England. Originally, she didn’t have masts or a funnel. She was rebuilt in Kingston in 1913 and began work for the Quebec & Ontario Transportation Co. She was then sold to the Canada Steamship Lines in 1918 and her name was changed to Mapleheath in 1920.  She ended her days working for McAllister Towing & Salvage Co. in 1959.
