boat0019The Island Queen was built at Young’s Point, Ontario in 1904, but didn’t come to the St. Lawrence Waterway until around  1944. In 1946, she was commissioned to sail around Lake St. Louis. She was sold to a group in Windsor in 1952 but the boiler failed on the way and she was tied up in the Cornwall Canal. She was scrapped in 1954.
