This canaller was built in 1910 by the Sunderland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., of Great Britain and originally named Saskatoon and sold to Canada Steamship Lines. She saw action in both World Wars as a bulk fuel carrier. After serving in the Second World War as the Empire Tadpole, she returned to Canada as Coastal Creek. She transported bulk petroleum products up the St. Lawrence until 1970.
