boat0006The steamer Cresco was built in Ogdensburg in 1882. Captained by its owner John Hatch, it normally ran between Waddington and Ogdensburg. She would occasionally make trips down-river to Louisville Landing, Richard’s Landing, Dickinson’s Landing, Massena, Cornwall, Stanley Island, Fort Covington, and Hogansburg. In 1900, Hatch stopped sailing the Cresco in favour of the Mary.
